About Us

Large or small, furry or feathered, Camelot accommodates all pets and focuses on creating a “home away from home” environment for its guests.

The Story of Camelot Kennels

We have designed Camelot to provide the ultimate in care, comfort, and security for your pets. Conveniently located in the heart of the Pioneer Valley, nestled on 24 acres of private, peaceful, countryside. in Monson, Massachusetts.

Since Camelot’s inception and under the direction of Jennifer Garman since 1999, it has been our goal to be New England’s premier boarding facility, offering your pets a  5-star vacation destination.

We’re a second family generation small family business. Lindsey Garman moved back to Monson in 2019 after going to the University of Florida and exploring her love of travel. Since then Camelot has continued to expand and blossom under her care. She has many more exciting ideas and plans to continue making Camelot a premium all-inclusive resort.

What We Offer:

  • Daycare & Overnight Boarding for all pet types (dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, chinchillas, and fish)
  • Professional Grooming & Spa Treatments
  • Balanced Method Dog Training

How We Do It!

CARE AND COMFORT:  We strive to create a home away from home environment that is comfortable and stress-free for your pet. As part of the Camelot Family, our guests enjoy personalized care plans designed to meet each pet’s personal needs. For you, knowing our pet is safe, happy, and enjoying their stay with us will provide a high level of comfort and relief. Your pet will love coming to Camelot again and again. Feathered or furred, big or small, in our family, we love them all.

The Staff:

One of the requirements of becoming a staff member at Camelot is a passion for animals. All new employees, experienced or not, are trained using Camelot’s customized training program which includes: Pet Handling, Pet CPR & First Aid, Animal Behavior, and Animal Psychology. The training program provides the vital skills required to deliver personalized attention and care for all Camelot guests.

Jennifer and Lindsey, our Owners both live on-site at the resort.

Jennifer purchased Camelot in 1999. After years of travel and a lifetime of adventure, the decision to settle down and build roots was a no-brainer for Jennifer. With a background in hospitality and hotel management, the idea of owning a pet resort was a creative venture that would allow her to utilize her skills. Her past military service driving her passion for quality provides her customers with the most professional care available. Her dream of owning a Bed & Breakfast lead to Camelot being run more like a Bed & Biscuit rather than a kennel. Her warm heart compliments the needs of her furry four-legged guests perfectly. Jennifer is excited to step into retirement and her next adventures. She can still be found making holiday treats and tending to her garden.

Lindsey was 5 years old when Jennifer bought the Camelot. She grew up playing with the dogs after school, birthing puppies, working with our trainers, and her own dogs. She worked most of her teenage summers here behind the scenes. Growing up at Camelot has given her a unique perspective on the resort and its guests. Her love for the animals lead her to the University of Florida for her bachelor’s degree. In 2019, she decided to come back and manage the resort full time. She was able to bring a fresh perspective on the difficulties of finding reliable pet care for her own animals, while she was away. She is proud of our expansion projects and excited about the future of Camelot. She wears many hats including  our COO and Dog Trainer, Pet CPR and First Aid Instructor, Midwoof and Yoga instructor. She has 6 dogs of her own at home and 2 cats.

Our favorite part of the day is when a returning client walks in the door with a look of relief to have arrived. Even better, is the happy tail wagging greeting we get from the returning pets who we know by name.

Camelot relies on a full staff to provide the loving, 24-hour, stress-free environment our clients deserve. This is achieved by the team effort our staff provides behind the scenes every day. Our consistent staff and emphasis on communication is a integral part to Camelot’s success.

Stephanie

Stephanie is our Office Manager and has been working at Camelot since April 2022, but she and her dog Mason have been part of the Camelot Daycare Family since 2012.  She has three dogs, Mason, Toby, Freya, and three cats. In addition to managing at Camelot she owns a Reiki Healing business and has recently expanded her certification to include Reiki for Animals that she uses to help promote optimal health and relieve anxiety for our fur clients! Being a part of the Camelot family has been life changing for her and she’s grateful every day for the amazing dogs and their humans she gets to work with, as well as the amazing friends she’s found in her coworkers!

Amber

Amber is new to the Camelot Family and we are so excited to have her! Her background in Managing a country club restaurant has transitioned her beautifully into running the office, caring for the animals and coordinating daily tasks. She has one cat and is excited to spend so much time with all the animals.

Meghan

Meghan is another new member of our Camelot Family and Office Team. Her background in training and caring for service dogs as well as her customer service role at the Bank has made her another welcome addition to our team. She also has a custom craft business and you may see her at local craft fairs.

Katy

Katy is our most senior employee. Her attention to detail with the animals and quality care are unmatched. Katy has been with us since 2018! She has two dogs, Indy & Trixie, and a bunny, at home. She loves camping and hiking, teaching her dogs new tricks, and is also a very talented artist!

Andie

Andie is one of our Daycare Attendants and has been with us since 2020.  After 13 years of working in construction and experiencing a life changing health issue, Andie realized he needed a big change and shifted careers to enter into the world of doggie daycare in 2017. He loved his job but, due to the pandemic, he and his wife relocated to Monson with their fur babies Lolli, Charlotte,  and he found a home at Camelot. Working with all the dogs here has been such a wonderful experience, and he’s so grateful for that and his fantastic coworkers. No one loves to play with dogs like Andie, rain, shine, hot or cold. His team spirit is unmatched always willing to help. We are so blessed to have him on our team.

Olivia

Olivia is one of our Daycare Attendants and joined us in 2022. She has a lifetime of animal care experience with her family, owning both a dog kennel and a barn that one winter housed 21 horses! In addition to being in the business of animal care, her family used to race horses as well, and has had some truly incredible experiences! She brought all of that knowledge and love of animals with her here, and loves spending time every day bonding with everyone’s dogs, learning their different personalities, and watching dogs from different families meet here and become lifelong friends – including her own dog Stella who has become best friends with a number of daycare dogs and is now a daily staple in the daycare yards. Olivia takes great pride in making friends with some of our more nervous guests and turning them into her best friends. We are so happy to have her skills and care on our team.

We also have important part time staff and maintenance team.
