The Story of Camelot Kennels

Large or small, furry or feathered, Camelot accommodates all pets and focuses on creating a “home away from home” environment for its guests.

We accomplish this with:

CARE AND COMFORT:  We strive to create a home away from home environment that is comfortable and stress free for your pet. As part of Camelot's Royal Family, our guests enjoy personalized care plans designed to meet each pet's personal needs. For you, knowing our pet is safe, happy, and enjoying their stay with us will provide a high level of comfort and relief.

Your pet will love coming to Camelot again and again maybe because we've been known to read a bedtime story or two. Feathered or furred, big or small, in our Royal Family we love them all.

One of the requirements of becoming a staff member at Camelot is a passion for animals. All new employees, experienced or not, are trained in Camelot’s customized training program that includes; Pet Handling, Pet First Aid and Animal Psychology. The training program provides the vital skills required to deliver the personalized attention and care of all Camelot guests.

When you arrive at Camelot, you will most likely be greeted by Amy or Jennifer, the Pet Resort Owner/Manager, who lives on-site at the resort.

Jennifer purchased Camelot in 1999.  I admit that I knew very little about the pet care industry when I began working at Camelot. Over time, my interaction with the clients and pet guests grew affectionately and inspired me to get more involved with the day to day care of the guests. I not only fell in love with all the guests, but the dogs have made me a better person.  Watching them interact has given me a better understanding of human behavior.

Our favorite part of the day is when a returning client walks in the door with a look of relief to have arrived. Even better, is the happy tail wagging greeting we get from the returning pets whom we know by name.

Camelot relies on a full staff to provide the loving, 24-hour, stress-free environment our clients deserve. This is achieved by the  team effort our staff provides behind the scenes every day.
