Immunization Requirements

Health Statement

Prior to registration please review the following Health Statement.

In order to maintain the health of all our pet guests, all guests must meet the following immunization requirements. Upon check-in, proof of current immunizations will be needed.

Rabies is required for every Pet on the property by State Law. They must be up to date there are no exceptions granted for dogs or cats over the age of 16 weeks.

Immunizations for Dogs:

Rabies, Parvo Virus, Distemper, and Bordetella (Canine Cough). Negative fecal exams are required within 6 months prior to the visit. We also require your town dog license.

Influenza is recommended not required, for frequent visitors such as Daycare clients. A 6-month Bordetella schedule is recommended.

Dogs commonly contract kennel cough at places where large amounts of canines congregate, such as Vets Offices, Boarding and Daycare facilities, Dog Parks, Training Groups, and Dog Shows.

Rabies and Feline Distemper and Lukimia

Any inoculation update should be completed at least 10 days prior to boarding. Please note that we always defer to your vet’s recommendations for your pet.

If your pet is taking medications, please provide written instructions for its use.

Booking and Check-in / Check-out

Do you require a deposit in advance of a boarding booking?
At this time, we only require a deposit for extended stays, training and our prepaid promotions.
What is your minimum age for boarding?
We do not have age restrictions but special arrangements need to be made for non-immunized pets.
When can I drop my pet off?

You can drop off for boarding during our normal office hours. You are always charged for your drop off day.

How are boarding fees calculated?
Think of us as a pet hotel. You are charged for the day you check-in regardless of the time and you are not charged for the day you check-out if you do so before 10 am. This is extended to 1:00 pm if your pet is getting a bath.
Can I pick up my pet outside of business hours?
We can accommodate after-hours service for an additional fee.
Do you board exotic small animals?
Yes, you will need to provide housing and food along with detailed instruction on their needs. We do not feed live food.
This is my first time boarding my pet, what should I expect at check-in time?
You and your pet will be welcomed by a royal staff member. We will review your information, verify immunizations and you will be asked to review and sign our boarding contract. We will verify the booking information and take your pet to get settled in. This can be a very emotional moment for you, rest assured everything will be fine. As soon as you leave, our guests settle in beautifully…no worries… Feel free to call for updates… We want you to have a wonderful worry-free time away too.
What days are you closed during the year?
Our facility is never closed but the office is closed on Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. We also have a few days during the year when the office is only open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm or 4:00 pm-6:00 pm.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand plan change and we ask that you give us as much advanced notice as possible. Our prepaid promotions are non-refundable.
What are your check-in and check-out times?
Anytime during normal Office Hours:
Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
Sunday from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm.

Health and Safety

How do I get my pet's vaccination, health certificate, and age information to Camelot?

You can email us a copy, snail mail, or bring it with you when you come in.

Do you administer medication?
Yes, there is no charge for meds administered in food at mealtime.
My pet is diabetic and requires shots?

Yes, we charge $10.00 per injection, but please consider the environment may change your pet’s dosage requirements.

Can my pet catch a disease by being boarded with other animals?
We do everything we can to provide a clean and safe environment for our guests and require that everyone be immunized, but just like with taking your pet to the Vet’s office, going to the park, or taking a walk on the sidewalk, exposure to contagious deceases is possible and depending on your pet’s immune system the results will vary.
What do you do if my pet becomes ill?
We will contact you, your emergency contact and your vet if needed.
Is someone at the kennel 24 hours a day? What happens in case of an emergency?
Yes, with few exceptions. We have emergency procedures to ensure every guest’swell being is our top priority.

Preparing for Your Pet’s Stay

Can I bring my pet's bedding, blanket and toys?
Camelot cleans and disinfects all suites every morning, the bedding is washed, fluffed and replaced daily. You are welcome to bring something familiar from home but we ask that it be labeled and machine washable. Please keep in mind that the kennel is a different environment so we ask that you not bring any items that would cause you or your pet emotional distress if they were ruined.
My dog is on a special diet, can I bring my own food?
We are happy to accommodate you but ask that you bring it in baggies that are portion controlled and labeled.

Your Pet’s Stay

Who will take care of my pet's while they are in your care?

Camelot is staffed, by professional, caring, concerned, and loving caretakers. Jennifer and Lindsey, our owners, live on the property. Jennifer and Lindsey are supported by our hand-picked and well-trained camp staff.

Will you exercise my dog during his stay at Camelot?
Absolutely! We believe that getting extra energy out; relieves tension and stress that provides your pet a more fun and peaceful stay at Camelot.
Where do the dogs go during inclement weather?
Our covered runs protect our guests from the elements. Many pets are unfazed by the weather and enjoy being outside regardless of whether it’s snowing, raining or sunny. If there is rain in the forecast during your stay, you may want to schedule a departure bath for your dog to make sure they don’t have excess fun left on them.
Can all my pets stay together in the same suite?
As long as they get along.
Will my dog be with other dogs?
All dogs are boarded separately with the exceptions of multi-pet families. However for exercise, while some pets are extremely social, others are more reserved. Each individual pet’s personality is assessed and considered when allowing pets to interact.
Where is my pet going to relieve himself while in your care?
Each accommodation provides an outdoor area for your pet, that is cleaned twice daily.
Do you offer group play for boarding dogs?

Yes, we have several options available ranging from 30 minutes daily to all day.

Can I visit my pet while I am boarding with you?
Visits are not recommended for stays less than 2 weeks. For Extended stay guests families are welcome to visit.
Is it okay to call and check on my pet while I am out of town?
Absolutely, call anytime during office hours and we will be happy to give you an update.
Are cats kept separate from dogs?
Yes, the cattery is a space separate from where the dogs board.
